There were 158 regular secondary schools. At the beginning of the academic year, the number of new enrollments was 119,200, and the number of students enrolled was 322,400. At the end of the year, there were 4,739 high-tech enterprises in the city (including 81 enterprises that had been publicly announced and were awaiting approval), 57 technology-advanced service enterprises, and 48 municipal-level science and technology business incubators (including 10 national-level ones). There were 235 national, provincial, and municipal key laboratories, 128 engineering technology research centers, 312 enterprise technology centers, 41 national post-doctoral research workstations, 26 provincial post-doctoral innovation practice bases, and 69 new-type research and development institutions at the provincial and municipal levels in the city. There were 35 national-recorded maker spaces, 2 national specialized maker spaces, 54 provincial maker spaces, and 85 municipal maker spaces in the city. Throughout the year, the number of domestic patent authorizations in the city was 32,857, among which the number of invention patent authorizations was 7,270. The number of PCT international patent applications was 535. The number of high-value invention patents per 10,000 people reached 29.47. A total of 316 scientific and technological achievements were newly registered, and 101 scientific and technological achievements won provincial science and technology awards.

 

At the end of the year, the 'i Xiamen' platform's mobile service channels covered the APP, WeChat public account, and mini-program. The platform had 10.622 million users with real-name authentication and served 137,000 corporate users. The platform has integrated 296 applications and services (covering a total of 819 items) from 54 departments across the city. Since the Xiamen channel on Fujian Provincial Government Service App (Minzheng Tong) was launched in January 2024, its service content has included 254 high-frequency government and public services, such as social security payment inquiry, housing provident fund services, Xiamen i-Education, Living in Xiamen, Credit Xiamen, etc. Events such as the Xiamen International Animation Festival have been successfully held.
