Over the past year, the total retail sales of social consumer goods in Xiamen reached 274.333 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 2.9%. Among which the retail sales of commodity was 238.229 billion yuan, up by 1.1%, and that of the catering services was 36.104 billion yuan, an increase of 16.7%.
With a growth rate of 2.4%, the retail sales of enterprises above designated size reached 177.764 billion yuan, an increase of 2.4% year-on-year and accounting for 64.8% of that of the city’s social consumer goods; while the retail sales of enterprises below the designated amount rose by 3.9% year-on-year to 96.569 billion yuan. 248 wholesale and retail enterprises with annual retail sales of above 100 million yuan had achieved retail sales worth of 143.299 billion yuan in total, with a net increase of 5.855 billion yuan or 4.3% increase from the previous year. 227 lodging and catering enterprises had the retail sales revenue exceed 10 million yuan each, achieving 13.192 billion yuan of retail sales in total, a net increase of 2.884 billion yuan and up by 28.0% year on year.
Among the wholesale and retail enterprises above the designated amount, the retail sales of motor vehicles was 36.526 billion yuan , down by 10.9% from a year earlier; that of clothing, shoes, hats and needle textiles was 55.208 billion yuan, up by 17.2%; that of grain, oil, food, liquor, tobacco and beverage was 22.225 billion yuan, up by 10.2%; that of petroleum and related products was 9.94 billion yuan, up by 2.7%; that of communication appliances was 7.186 billion yuan, increasing by 53.8%; that of daily necessities was 12.041 billion yuan, down by 6.6%; that of cultural and office goods was 4.777 billion yuan, down by 2.5%; that of gold, silver and jewelry was 1.994 billion yuan, decreasing by 26.7%; and that of cosmetics was 1.786 billion yuan, down by 35.7%.
