In November 2020, at the 12th BRICS Summit, President Xi Jinping announced the establishment of the BRICS Partnership on New Industrial Revolution Innovation Base (hereinafter referred to as the "BRICS Innovation Base") in Xiamen, Fujian Province, to carry out cooperation in policy coordination, talent training, project development, and other fields. Over the past six years, the BRICS Innovation Base has held more than 60 exchange activities, conducted over 90 online and offline training sessions, signed a total of 138 cooperation projects with investment exceeding 62 billion yuan, and its work has been explicitly commended in the Kazan Declaration, the Rio de Janeiro Declaration, and the New Delhi Declaration of the 18th BRICS Summit. With a series of landmark cooperation outcomes, including the BRICS New Industry "Golden Egret" Excellence Scholarship and the BRICS Industrial Cooperation and Overseas Comprehensive Service Port, taking shape at an accelerating pace, the BRICS Innovation Base is becoming a bridge for two-way exchanges between Chinese enterprises and BRICS countries.
